What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement scalable bioreactor operating and control strategies for fermentation scale-up from demo to commercial manufacturing
  • Lead daily operations of fermentation and downstream unit operations in the Houston demo facility, including commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Design and analyze experiments using DoE/statistical methods to drive yield, consistency, and product quality improvements
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth process integration and technology transfer

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related discipline (Ph.D. preferred)
  • Minimum 7-10 years of industrial bioprocessing experience with at least 5 years focused on fermentation scale-up
  • Proven track record of scaling processes from lab/demo to commercial manufacturing
  • Expertise in fermentation kinetics, bioreactor design, scale-up modeling, and downstream separation/purification techniques
