Sr. or Principal Engineer, Transmission & Interconnection

• Lead projects through the interconnection process from inception to Commercial Operation across multiple ISO markets and vertically integrated systems
• Perform power flow, stability, and short circuit studies using specialized software for project prospecting and analysis
• Evaluate transmission & interconnection tariffs, costs, timelines, and processes to develop strategic recommendations for project teams
• Coordinate interconnection requirements including applications, studies, agreements, and post-agreement execution milestones

This role contributes to decarbonizing the planet at the gigaton level by enabling the development of reliable, low-cost clean energy projects that provide millions of people with affordable, zero-emission energy.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in interconnection & project development or transmission planning at a utility, ISO/RTO, or project developer
• Deep understanding of CAISO & WECC utilities tariffs, interconnection processes, transmission service processes, and planning processes
• Strong capability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, & Google Earth
• Ability to read and negotiate long legal contracts (Interconnection Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, etc.)
