What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Build AI Agents and AI Workflows that enhance how developers and customers experience Zoox
- Apply LLMs to solve real problems that slow teams down or limit product quality
- Focus on reducing time for developers to ship features, accelerating incident triage, improving multimodal datasets, and designing AI Agents that automate engineering workflows
- Own projects from idea to launch while solving user problems with LLMs

Required qualifications:
- Currently working towards B.S., M.S., or advanced degree in relevant engineering program
- Must return to school after internship completion
- Good academic standing
- Able to commit to 12-week internship beginning May or June 2026
- At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project in relevant area
- Ability to relocate to Bay Area, California for internship duration
- Proficiency in Python or C++
- Coursework or project experience in software development with understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with LLMs through coursework, personal projects, or hackathons
