What you will drive

Key responsibilities:

  • Edit high-performing short-form videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and similar platforms
  • Apply platform-specific best practices (pacing, captions, formatting, storytelling) to maximize reach and retention
  • Experiment with edits, structures, and visual approaches to test what performs best
  • Collaborate with producers and content leads on ideation, structure, and creative direction for short-form series

What makes you a great fit

Required skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software and familiarity with current video trends and best practices for social media
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating variety in video editing styles, motion graphics capabilities, and social media content
  • Commitment to social justice and experience working with communities of color

What's in it for you

Compensation range is $40 - $55 per hour, depending on experience. This is a 3-month freelance opportunity with the potential to extend, with estimated hours between 10 to 20 hours per week.
