Senior Virtual Power Plant Operations Expert (f/m/x)

Core responsibilities:

• SaaS Platform Ownership & Configuration: Serve as the functional owner of the VPP software, configuring system parameters and adjusting logic for new commercial products
• Vendor Management & Roadmap Coordination: Act as primary liaison with external software provider, translating operational requirements into technical feature requests
• Asset Monitoring & Incident Resolution: Monitor real-time activity of asset portfolio and troubleshoot operational issues to mitigate revenue loss
• New Asset Integration: Manage technical onboarding process for new assets entering the VPP
• Operational Support (On-Call): Participate in rotating on-call schedule to support trading and dispatch teams

This role drives the energy revolution by ensuring Virtual Power Plant software effectively translates market signals into physical asset behavior, optimizing Battery Energy Storage Systems to support clean energy transition and grid reliability.

Required qualifications:

• Strong understanding of power markets (day-ahead, intraday, balancing) and operational processes for grid delivery
• Proven experience in monitoring or dispatching energy assets, with specific BESS experience including State of Charge management
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex B2B SaaS tools and configure detailed settings
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to act as primary operational point of contact for external partners

Good to have:

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus TCP, AMQP)
• Experience with communication gateways, multiprotocol gateways, or PLCs
