Senior Staff Software Engineer

• Lead the technical strategy and hands-on development of our API-first and streaming platform, serving as the internal subject matter expert for building scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
• Develop and maintain a world-class platform, including core services like Authentication and API Gateway (both public and internal), as well as OCPI-based APIs and Transition Layers.
• Drive the adoption of best practices for API-related functions, including API Management, Gateway, Translation, Migration, Service Mesh, Access Control, Observability, and Documentation.
• Work autonomously on highly unique and significant issues, proactively uncovering and resolving issues related to new technologies and advancements, while leading projects with notable risk and complexity.

• 10+ years of experience building back-end software with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis, with working experience in API-related functions (e.g., API Management, Gateway, Translation, Migration, Service Mesh, Access Control, Observability, Documentation).
• Hands-on expertise with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Gateway, WebSocket, modern software architecture components (e.g., Distributed Systems, Containerization, Micro Services), and one of the cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
• Personal/leadership attributes including voicing opinions with clear rationale, using data to influence, understanding organizational vision, completing tasks with high quality, breaking down problems, identifying innovation opportunities, and adapting to changing requirements.
