Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

As a Senior Software Engineer at Lithos, you'll work directly with our Head of Engineering to build the operating system for one of the largest carbon dioxide removal efforts in history.

• Build and scale interconnected platform for planning, orchestrating, tracking, and optimizing enhanced rock weathering
• Develop interactive geospatial tools for mapping, analysis, and optimization
• Create automated and human-in-the-loop workflows for digitizing PDF maps and records
• Build pipelines for ingesting, converting, and analyzing raw data logs from agricultural machinery
• Implement audit-ready representation, tracking and reconciliation of real-world activities
• Develop laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for tens of thousands of field samples

This role builds the operating system for one of the largest carbon dioxide removal efforts in history, helping to create an entirely new industry capable of removing tens of billions of tons of CO2 within the next decade through enhanced rock weathering technology.

• Experience building apps for non-technical power users in a fast-paced, early-stage environment (mid-senior engineering experience required)
• Fluent in modern web development across the full stack with experience in technologies like React, Typescript, Phoenix and LiveView, and Postgres/PostGIS/SQL
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable operating in highly ambiguous environments
• Capable of operating independently and scoping work while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Comfortable balancing scrappy solutions with longer-term investments and managing technical debt
