Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform

Core responsibilities:

• Architect data platforms and pipelines for design analysis using modern data engineering tools for scalable data processing
• Design and maintain batch and streaming ETL pipelines using Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, or similar frameworks
• Implement data modeling and optimization strategies for analytical workloads across data lakes, warehouses, and real-time databases
• Own data products end-to-end from requirements gathering through delivery and monitoring

This role enables software engineers and system REs across the organization to quickly and easily interrogate simulation results and analyze hardware design iterations, serving as a critical link between analysis tools and teams making hardware and software design decisions for portable nuclear microreactors.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
• Expert proficiency in Python, Rust, R, C#, or C/C++
• 5+ years of software engineering experience in data platform engineering, pipeline development, or distributed data systems
• Experience building data pipelines for hardware analysis, AI/ML workflows, or distributed processing
