What you will drive
- Establish single cell sequencing assays for Plasmodium species
- Develop independent research projects and prepare grant applications
- Conduct complex research activities combining field and laboratory work
- Coordinate multiple research projects within the Malaria Genotyping Group
- Establish and maintain scientific collaborations at national and international levels
- Supervise MSc and PhD students

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- PhD in molecular parasitology with several years of postdoctoral experience in malaria research
- Strong expertise in next generation sequencing (NGS) platforms and transcriptomics
- Very good command in malaria bioinformatics (R/Python/bash)
- Experience working in malaria endemic settings, especially Sub-Saharan Africa
- Malaria parasite culture and FACS experience
- Insectary management and Anopheles mosquitoes rearing skills
- Familiarity with gene editing techniques like CRISPR-Cas9
