Senior Manager, State Impact

Core responsibilities:

• Provide consistent support to state fiscal mapping and cost modeling partners with advocacy goals, checking in on progress and needs
• Support technical partners in disseminating final fiscal mapping and cost modeling products to other state partners and integrating these tools into advocacy strategies
• Facilitate coordination of partners within child/youth policy and tax/budget/revenue ecosystems within states
• Support coalition planning and management by helping leaders navigate structure, roles, and decision-making within multi-organization advocacy coalitions

This role helps communities, states, and Native nations expand equitable opportunities for children and youth through strategic public financing, maximizing impact through evidence-informed policy decisions and coalition-building.

Required skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience in state advocacy and/or policy work
• Applied experience in child, youth, or family-focused policy development, education, or public finance preferred
• Experience coaching, informing, or providing technical assistance to state entities and community-based organizations
• Experience assessing advocacy readiness, developing campaign action plans, and supporting coalition coordination in state-level policy contexts
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate data-related concepts to professionals
