Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Develop and implement GiveDirectly's government and external outreach strategy to create awareness and increase political/policy buy-in for cash transfers in Malawi
- Manage national and local government relations, securing approvals for program expansion and ensuring compliance with government guidance
- Lead external and media relations, crafting messaging, managing media relationships, and monitoring social media for organizational reputation
- Oversee program design and implementation, working with teams to create evidence-based cash programs aligned with national development priorities

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- 5-7 years experience in the development sector with demonstrated success in high-performance environments
- Detailed understanding and experience working with national level government officials in Malawi, including knowledge of government policies and priorities
- Demonstrated experience in resource mobilization, preferably with key donors such as USAID and FCDO
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal in English, preferably also Chichewa), organizational, and analytical abilities
