Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Design and analyze foundations for transformers, circuit breakers, and other substation equipment, and perform structural design of steel structures like bus supports, gantries, and control buildings.
• Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line profiles, analyze clearances, design tower spotting, and design/analyze power pylons including poles and lattice towers.
• Conduct site visits, perform load calculations, stress analysis, and structural optimization for substation and transmission line components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations, and provide engineering support during construction.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) and Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 8+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering with focus on substation and/or transmission line design.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, and structural analysis software like STAAD.Pro, RISA, or SAP2000.
• Strong understanding of industry standards (ASCE, ACI, AISC, NESC, IEEE), knowledge of soil mechanics/foundation design, and excellent problem-solving/communication skills.
