Senior Backend Developer (Typescript)

Core responsibilities include:

• Developing Upright's data analytics platform including customer-facing side and internal tools
• Working on data pipelines and algorithms that produce Upright's net impact data
• Tasks ranging from bug fixes and feature implementation to developing novel algorithms for net impact models
• Improving technical infrastructure and setting up Python microservices for machine learning solutions

This role creates positive change by developing the data analytics platform used by 1,000+ institutional investment organizations and corporations to measure and improve their net impact, helping direct capital toward more sustainable and beneficial outcomes.

Required qualifications:

• At least 5 years experience in professional software development, with at least 1 year in Typescript
• Experience with relevant technologies like Node, PostgreSQL, Docker, and React
• Understanding of the full software lifecycle including design, development, deployment and operations
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with distributed, data-intensive software products

• Experience with Docker, Elasticsearch, AWS Cloudfront, AWS S3
• Experience programming in Python with numerical libraries
