Senior Attorney for Enforcement Program

• Develop, analyze, and execute enforcement and other legal strategies to reduce pollution
• Perform a range of litigation and legal tasks including legal research, drafting legal documents, and oral advocacy
• Work with internal and external experts to develop factual, technical, and scientific support for enforcement actions
• Represent EIP in federal and state litigation, administrative proceedings, and public meetings

This role creates positive change by holding industrial polluters and government agencies accountable for compliance with environmental laws, reducing pollution from industrial sources through citizen suit enforcement actions, and working with frontline communities to provide them with resources to obtain environmental protection.

• Law degree and active bar membership in good standing
• 8+ years of legal experience, including experience in environmental law
• Excellent analytical, research, writing, organizational, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• Passion for protecting public health and the environment and ability to work collaboratively

EIP offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary range is $105,000 - $135,000 based on a nonprofit scale commensurate with skills and experience.
