Senior Associate - Legal

Core responsibilities:

• Preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and executing transaction documentation with external parties globally, including project documents and funding agreements
• Enhancing and developing Candi's in-house suite of template legal documents to ensure consistency and alignment with market standards
• Supporting the integration of legal documentation into a Contract Lifecycle Management tool
• Assisting with managing larger transactions, coordinating stakeholders, and liaising with external legal counsels across jurisdictions

This role helps Candi lead the solar revolution by providing businesses in emerging markets with access to clean, affordable solar energy, reducing carbon emissions, creating jobs, and increasing energy access.

Required qualifications:

• Excellent legal academic credentials and qualified lawyer in India
• 5+ years' experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, ideally with solar or project/infrastructure finance experience
• Outstanding negotiation skills and ability to translate commercial matters into legal documents
• Strong communicator, self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit, and comfortable working with digital tools
