SCADA Systems Engineer 4 [Remote]

Core responsibilities:

• Develop engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments for SCADA systems used in electric grid monitoring, protection, and control.
• Design SCADA portions of substation projects, including RTU configurations and point list implementation in the Monarch EMS/SCADA system.
• Act as an expert in the work group, training and mentoring SCADA specialists and engineers.
• Work with dispatch systems support to ensure remote data requirements are incorporated into the EMS/SCADA system.

This role contributes to the transition to a sustainable energy future by developing and maintaining SCADA systems that support renewable energy solutions including wind, solar, storage, and green hydrogen projects.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with minimum 8 years of directly related engineering experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of electric grid energy management systems or similar for configuring and engineering SCADA systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness.
