Research Intern- Technology Futures

Core responsibilities:

• Go through existing literature to understand manufacturing processes, equipment, input materials and required skills for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries, cells, and components
• Understand and identify similarities with other processes from major domestic industries
• Develop understanding for different grades of battery components and materials, and their relevant standards and testing procedures
• Analyse component and material standards and testing procedures for batteries followed in other countries

This role contributes to indigenising the manufacturing of advanced chemistry cells and components, supporting energy storage technology development and climate resilience efforts in India.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Masters degree or bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical/energy engineering
• Final year student or with one year experience
• Significant interest in chemical and mechanical manufacturing processes at an industrial scale
• Strong work management and prioritisation skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
