Regional Deputy Development Director of Major Gifts

Core responsibilities:

• Maintain and grow relationships with major gift donors through portfolio management, including prospecting, communication, solicitation, and follow-up
• Work with leadership to identify opportunities to upgrade donors from major to mega level and support major gift fundraising plans
• Lead planning of donor trips, coordinate meetings and events, and manage call time to meet fundraising goals
• Contribute to development of systems for tracking donor communication and collaborate across teams to provide cohesive donor experiences

This role helps secure funding for Democratic state legislative campaigns, enabling the protection of fundamental freedoms and building an economy for all through Democratic majorities in state legislatures.

Required qualifications:

• 3-4 cycles (4-5 years) of fundraising experience with campaigns, political committees, PACs, or non-profits
• Experience with direct major gift solicitation, including drafting proposals, prospecting, and upgrading donors
• Proven track record of securing six-figure gifts
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and required experience with NGPVAN
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $95,000-$121,000 annually
