What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Track record of successfully delivering generator interconnection or transmission planning projects across multiple ISOs/RTOs and/or Utilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on transmission planning studies by leading and conducting analyses related to load flow, transient stability and short circuit
- Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and grid capacity
- Collaborate with other teams within EPE to provide strategic guidance on market trends and process change across multiple ISO’s, ideally in SPP and MISO

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field (a Master's or PhD degree is preferred)
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the electric energy industry, generator modelling, transmission planning and interconnection studies is preferred
- Solid background in power flow, optimal power flow, transient stability
- In-depth knowledge of at least one but preferably several of the following software packages: PSSE, TARA, PSLF, ASPEN, DSATools, PSCAD
