Mission

What you will drive

  • Research and draft legislation and high quality advocacy materials on a wide range of religious freedom policy issues
  • Work with lawmakers, local advocates, consultants, and partners to pass positive laws and defend against negative policies
  • Manage the organization's lobbying disclosure compliance, including preparing and filing
  • Grow the Association of Secular Elected Officials (ASEO) by managing day-to-day operations and serving as point of contact for members

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • JD and 2 years experience writing bills and policy analysis OR 5 years experience with legislative writing and policy analysis
  • Knowledge of religious freedom, separation of church and state, and civil liberties issues
  • Strong relationship-building skills with ability to foster deep relationships and juggle complex coalition networks
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a bias towards follow-through and accuracy
