PMO Lead

As Project Management Office (PMO) Lead, you'll lead the PMO team for Western Link 2 and act as a subject matter expert (SME). This will include setting up the team, agreeing the standards, policies and processes and assurance for the delivery of PMO services across the HVDC portfolio.

Within this role, you will drive growth, manage workforce and align Project Control development activities across the PMO.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the SPT HVDC PMO team, including recruitment, deployment, training and development, and performance management.
• Oversee all PMO capabilities; namely, Planning & Scheduling, Governance, Performance & Reporting, Risk management, Baseline & Change management and Document management.
• Accountability for the implementation and management of portfolio, programme and project governance frameworks.
• Drive the adoption of digital tools (e.g., BIM, Power BI, CEMAR, P6 Primavera, etc.) whilst remaining aligned with SPT's digital transformation strategy.

This role helps build the backbone of a Net Zero future by leading project management for HVDC links that transport renewable energy from Scotland to England and Wales, supporting the UK's transition to clean energy and meeting 2030 climate targets.

We're looking for an individual with a good understanding of major project development and delivery to enable them to design services to fit delivery focused project teams.

You will have extensive experience in large-scale, complex infrastructure or energy EPC projects and proven leadership skills with experience of leading multidisciplinary teams and driving collaboration across multiple projects and contractors.

As a minimum, you will have:

• Experience in project/contract management within FIDIC or NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) frameworks, ideally with a background in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) capital projects.
• Formal qualification in project management (e.g., APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent) or significant, demonstrable experience in project management disciplines.
• Proven ability to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, to achieve project objectives and resolve challenges effectively.
• Experience of applying project and contract management digital tools e.g. BIM, Power BI, CEMAR, P6 Primavera, ACC.

Salary from £72,400 to £90,500 per annum plus up to 30% annual bonus, £450pcm car allowance and family healthcare.
