Platform Infrastructure Engineer

• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using Pulumi to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
• Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for microservices.
• Lead the deployment and maintenance of Istio to enable efficient traffic management, observability, and security across microservices.
• Architect and manage AWS services for scalable and cost-effective solutions, collaborating with IoT-focused teams.

This role directly supports SPAN's mission of enabling electrification for all by building robust infrastructure that powers clean energy solutions, reducing carbon emissions and slowing climate change.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) with 5+ years in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, Python, CI/CD tools, Pulumi/IaC, Istio/service mesh, AWS services, IoT technologies, and developer tooling.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability skills with demonstrated initiative as a self-starter.
• 8+ years of overall experience demonstrating knowledge in large-scale system design and operations.
