What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of 50 major gift donors and prospects with the capacity to give $10,000+
  • Lead the planning and execution of major donor events, including salons, donor dinners, small receptions, virtual briefings, auctions, and signature fundraising events
  • Manage and grow Born Free USA's planned giving program (Elsa's Legacy Circle), including bequests, beneficiary designations, and legacy commitments
  • Develop personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to deepen engagement and increase philanthropic investment

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional fundraising experience in major gifts or donor-facing roles
  • Demonstrated success securing five- and six-figure gifts (or higher)
  • Experience managing donor events or campaign events; strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of planned giving fundamentals (advanced expertise not required; training can be provided)
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills—both written and interpersonal
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfort with CRM software, prospect research tools, and virtual meeting platforms
  • Ability to travel for donor meetings and events (up to 25% travel)
