What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 50 major gift donors and prospects with the capacity to give $10,000+
- Lead the planning and execution of major donor events, including salons, donor dinners, small receptions, virtual briefings, auctions, and signature fundraising events
- Manage and grow Born Free USA's planned giving program (Elsa's Legacy Circle), including bequests, beneficiary designations, and legacy commitments
- Develop personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to deepen engagement and increase philanthropic investment

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional fundraising experience in major gifts or donor-facing roles
- Demonstrated success securing five- and six-figure gifts (or higher)
- Experience managing donor events or campaign events; strong project management skills
- Knowledge of planned giving fundamentals (advanced expertise not required; training can be provided)
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills—both written and interpersonal
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Comfort with CRM software, prospect research tools, and virtual meeting platforms
- Ability to travel for donor meetings and events (up to 25% travel)
