Permitting & GIS Associate - Battery Storage

• Maintain Plus Power's online mapping system (GIS platform), including data standardization and support for new users
• Execute permitting strategies specific to projects in collaboration with other team members and departments
• Research Federal, State and Local land use and environmental regulations and draft detailed permitting analyses
• Support preparation of permit applications to governmental agencies and represent Plus Power in public forums

This role supports the development of battery energy storage systems that enable high penetration of renewable energy generation, helping transform North American electric grids into cleaner and more versatile critical infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, engineering or environmental areas; advanced degree preferred
• 2-4 years of experience obtaining required permitting/siting/zoning/land use/environmental approvals for large-scale/complex development
• Detailed understanding of federal, state, and local permitting and environmental regulatory statutes across multiple states
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
