Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Oversee state-level volunteer chapters of Moms Demand Action, including Everytown Survivor Network volunteers, and collaborate with Students Demand Action volunteers to grow the volunteer base and build inclusive, equitable chapters
- Develop strategic growth plans and grassroots organizing campaigns for each state, assessing needs, setting priorities, identifying resources, and aiding chapters in communications, partnerships, education, and advocacy efforts
- Mentor, train, and manage volunteer leaders to support and grow volunteer engagement, while building diverse teams and promoting equity and inclusion
- Work with the Field Leadership Team, regional Organizing Directors, and cross-departmental teams to develop national and local strategies for campaigns and programs

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- Understanding of how stereotypes, bias, and forms of racism impact society, with ability to articulate their connection to gun violence's disproportionate impact on specific demographic groups
- Passion for the organization's mission and demonstrated experience developing and mentoring volunteers or staff, with strong volunteer or staff management skills, especially working with diverse or marginalized communities
- Organizing or campaign experience (issue or electoral), ability to understand, evaluate, and articulate policy and strategic planning issues, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with deadlines, under pressure, be flexible, travel within the US, and be self-motivated with proactive problem-solving skills; comfort with social media, data management, and technology including VAN; fluency in Spanish is a plus
