Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Help nonprofit partners ensure their books are up-to-date and accurate through tasks including transaction inputting, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and payroll processing
  • Collaborate with CANOE team members to ensure timely communication, deadline delivery, and stellar financial support for clients
  • Brainstorm and help create tools, guidance, and trainings to help nonprofits strengthen and make more just, equitable and inclusive their internal operations
  • Support CANOE's marketing efforts through social media, newsletters, blog posts, and assist with internal financial and administrative duties

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of nonprofit bookkeeping experience, including experience filing 990s and 1099s
  • Very comfortable using Quickbooks Online and Xero accounting systems
  • Extremely organized and attentive to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to fighting racism, poverty, and/or climate change
