Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Use municipal election opportunities to advance Dogwood's ongoing campaigns by exposing industry ties and propaganda, spotlighting climate policy rollbacks, and helping advance green and affordable housing
  • Keep tabs on local issues or races throughout B.C. for engagement opportunities and building Dogwood's base of supporters
  • Lead Dogwood's voter education work and act as Dogwood representative in meetings with allies or coalitions
  • Develop plans to use the Union of BC Municipalities Convention and resolution process to educate local officials and counter gas industry influence

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Experience working on an election-focused campaign (candidate/political party or issues-focused third party)
  • Keen understanding of B.C. politics, including municipal governance areas
  • Experience creating content for various audiences and for print and online use
  • Track record of hitting the ground running in fast-paced campaigns and ability to take initiative in distributed/remote teams
  • Commitment to Dogwood's mission to decolonize, decarbonize and democratize B.C.
