Mid/Sr Back-end Engineer

• Build software that makes a direct impact on building decarbonization by lowering the cost curve for home electrification
• Work closely with domain experts who have decades of experience in building decarbonization and incentive administration to build generalizable incentive management systems
• Help achieve scale and influence the engineering roadmap with autonomy
• Work with a high-performing, diverse and mission-aligned team to help solve climate change

This role creates positive change by building software that directly impacts building decarbonization, lowering the cost curve for home electrification and accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels in buildings.

• Senior engineering mindset - pragmatic and comfortable with ambiguity (5+ years of experience)
• Experience with database schemas, service-oriented architectures, data modeling, external integrations, and fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
• Experience working closely with domain experts and modeling complex domains
• Comfortable in Python and experience managing projects and coordinating across multiple engineers
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in an early-stage startup environment
