MBSE Lead Engineer (Model-Based Systems Engineering)

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the MBSE adoption roadmap across the technical teams
• Build a high-level system model (Proof of Concept) of the company's current satellite and ground segment systems
• Define processes for integrating MBSE with existing workflows and tools
• Identify training needs and coordinate with external providers to upskill engineering teams

This role supports constellr's mission to harness space technology for climate resilience and security by implementing model-based systems engineering to improve satellite and ground segment systems that deliver critical thermal intelligence data.

Required:

• Proven experience in applying MBSE in aerospace or complex systems domains
• Hands-on experience with SysML (preferably SysML v2) and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, Capella, Enterprise Architect)
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
