Marketing Specialist (Contract)

• Design and maintain marketing collateral including slide decks, data visualizations, one-pagers, and diagrams.
• Collaborate with the CEO and go-to-market team to refine messaging and brand presentation for different audiences.
• Help build and update the company website, contributing to layout, visual design, and content structure.
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible, polished visuals that resonate with customers, partners, and funders.
• Assist with light copywriting for web, email, print, and pitch materials, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
• Maintain an organized library of marketing assets and version histories.

This role helps accelerate EV charging adoption by creating compelling marketing materials that communicate the value and impact of Moon Five's technology, contributing to climate tech solutions that enable rapid EV charging adoption today while setting the stage for future energy services.

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or design—particularly in B2C early-stage or mission-driven startups.
• Experience with Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), or similar platforms, for creating slide decks, one-pagers, and visuals.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible, compelling visual and written narratives.
• Familiarity with website builders or CMS tools (e.g., Framer or Squarespace) for layout and visual design contributions.
• Strong command of concise, persuasive writing that aligns with brand tone—especially for web, email, and print.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally (with leadership, engineering, and GTM teams) while maintaining a clean, version-controlled asset library.
• Prior exposure to hardware, energy, or cleantech sectors a plus.

• Flexible hours, expecting 10-20 hours per week
• Hourly rate dependent on relevant experience and location
• Remote work with option to occasionally work from Berkeley HQ if based in Bay Area
