What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive multi-year development and communications strategy aligned with organizational values, priorities, and growth goals
  • Lead fundraising efforts to identify and pursue highly aligned funding opportunities to grow and diversify TCLP's funding portfolio
  • Oversee external communications across all platforms ensuring consistent and values-aligned messaging and strategically aligned framing
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to support team growth and performance while fostering an inclusive, positive workplace culture

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Fifteen (15) years or more of progressive experience in nonprofit development and organizational communications, including five (5) years in a senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated success leading development strategies and achieving fundraising goals for organizations with multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Exceptional writing skills with ability to create succinct compelling narratives and significant media relations experience with proven results
  • Passion for and commitment to advocating for progressive policies and elimination of racial and ethnic disparities, with experience in social justice/movement building systems

  • This position is exempt and expected to work a 40-hour work week
  • Will receive a 90-day performance review following their first 90 days
  • Requires ability to travel upon request, including 4-5 in-person staff retreats per year
  • Will be required to engage with a TCLP community once a quarter
