Sr. Backend Engineer

• Participate in all phases of software development: requirements, design, construction, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Design and develop reliable and scalable distributed systems
• Ensure system reliability, optimized performance, and compliance with security policies
• Collaborate with project owners and development teams to deliver client-facing products

This role enhances the e-commerce platform and internal operations, contributing to innovative solutions that improve customer experience and support the company's growth in providing HVAC, plumbing, heating, and electrical supplies.

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with 7+ years of progressive experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years
• 5+ years of professional experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Struts, Hibernate
• 5+ years of professional experience with relational databases (MySQL and/or Oracle)
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design

• Base Salary: $132,000 – $165,000 CAD per year
