Software Engineer, New Grad - Defense

Core responsibilities:

• Build software at scale to transform how organizations use data, contributing high-quality code directly to Palantir Gotham products
• Be involved throughout the product lifecycle from idea generation, design, prototyping, to execution and shipping
• Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customer problems and build products that tackle them
• Work on small teams focusing on specific product aspects, such as geospatial mapping tools or release infrastructure components

This role creates positive change by building software deployed at important institutions across government, defense and non-profit sectors, creating features used by research scientists, aerospace engineers, intelligence analysts, and economic forecasters worldwide to solve critical problems.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Ability to write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly
• Experience with or ability to work with languages like Java, Go, and Typescript
• Familiarity with open-source technologies like Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, and Redux
• Understanding of industry-standard build tooling including Gradle and GitHub
• New graduate level experience (entry-level position)
