Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Review and critique model reasoning in quantum information and adjacent theory, identifying conceptual errors and providing corrections
- Create gold-standard demonstrations and reference solutions for model training, providing structured preferences over candidate outputs
- Co-develop new benchmarks and metrics for evaluating research in Physics and Quantum Information, measuring real scientific competence
- Design evaluation suites and rubrics to stress-test models on hard Quantum Information tasks and track recurring error patterns
Impact
The difference you'll make
This role accelerates progress on humanity's deepest unsolved physics problems by building an autonomous AI Physicist that can explore theoretical frameworks, reason across disciplines, and generate novel insights to understand the nature of reality.
Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Quantum Information, Theoretical CS or closely related field with postdoctoral-level research maturity
- Deep fluency in core quantum information topics and strong mathematical foundations including linear algebra, probability, and optimization
- Scientific programming skills in Python plus standard research tooling (Git, LaTeX), with expertise in exact diagonalization and Monte Carlo techniques
- Comfort working closely with engineers and researchers in fast-moving environments with strong written communication skills
