Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Significant software engineering experience demonstrated through prior work and open-source contributions
  • Fluency in Python programming
  • Results-oriented mindset with motivation for impactful research
  • Prior experience mentoring other engineers or scientists in engineering skills
  • Expertise in one of: Machine Learning (training transformers with PyTorch/jax, knowledge of linear algebra/calculus/statistics), High-Performance Computing (Kubernetes/SLURM, distributed systems, GPU optimization), or Technical Leadership (software architecture, project management)

Compensation: $150,000-$250,000/year depending on experience and location, with potential for additional compensation for exceptional candidates. Benefits include: work-related travel and equipment expenses covered, catered lunch and dinner at Berkeley offices.
