Intern - Strategy and Communications

Core responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis on organizational development, sector trends, and systems-related issues relevant to Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia's priorities
• Support the development of strategic documents, internal briefs, concept notes, and presentations
• Assist transformation initiatives by tracking progress, preparing summaries, and supporting coordination activities across teams
• Support strategic communications work aligned with organizational priorities and key initiatives

This role contributes to strengthening alignment, learning, and collaboration across a leading African health organization that reaches more than 40 million people across 35 African countries, supporting community-led health systems and addressing social determinants of health.

Required qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Health, Communications, Public Policy, Business, International Development, or a related field
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information into clear and practical outputs
• Ability to prepare well-organized and visually appealing documents, briefs, and presentations
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
