Head of Finance

Core responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting function and take full ownership of our books, including supervising external bookkeeping firms and ensuring audit-ready financials
• Architect and optimize the finance stack (Xero, CRM, Payroll, Banks) to automate data entry and streamline processes
• Provide financial visibility through monthly/quarterly reporting, cash flow management, and board/investor updates
• Build multi-year financial models for Series B readiness and partner with operational teams on project finance and commercial models

This role builds the financial nervous system that gives the organization confidence to move fast, serving as the bridge between raw data and strategic decisions that define the future of nature-based climate finance.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Strong background in Finance with relevant experience ("not your first rodeo")
• "Controller" mindset with ability to spot reconciliation errors and ensure accurate books
• "Architect" skillset with experience configuring and integrating finance software systems
• "Modeller" brain capable of building multi-year integrated financial models that stand up to VC scrutiny
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification or equivalent
