GoFundMe Campaigner

Core responsibilities:

• Set up and launch a GoFundMe campaign for SWEC
• Develop compelling fundraising content (storytelling, campaign description, impact goals)
• Define realistic fundraising targets and timelines
• Advise on campaign strategy, donor engagement, and outreach
• Coordinate with the SWEC team to gather visuals, testimonies, and impact data
• Monitor campaign performance and provide weekly progress updates
• Suggest strategies to increase visibility and donations (sharing plans, networks, influencers)

This role creates positive change by mobilizing resources to support SWEC's project of equipping a computer laboratory for displaced learners, thereby breaking language barriers and expanding educational and economic opportunities for underserved communities through English education, digital skills, and leadership opportunities.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience managing or launching GoFundMe or similar crowdfunding campaigns
• Strong storytelling and persuasive writing skills
• Understanding of online fundraising and donor engagement
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Passion for women's education, social impact, or community development
• Reliability and clear communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience fundraising for NGOs, grassroots initiatives, or education projects
• Knowledge of social media promotion for fundraising campaigns
• Experience working with African or Sahel-focused initiatives
