What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop practical, innovative methodologies and tools to enhance MAG's operational efficiency, decision making, and situational awareness across global programmes
  • Lead research and development processes to advance the use of Earth Observation (EO) data and drone-based solutions in Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and Weapon and Ammunition Management (WAM) operational contexts
  • Play a key role in partnership development, particularly focused on enriching theoretical and empirical practices
  • Integrate environmental considerations and uphold MAG's core values to promote the mission and extend impact

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency with remote sensing systems and GIS software for data processing, analysis (including machine learning), and visualization
  • Proven experience leading remote sensing projects, including developing operational use cases and standard operating procedures
  • Degree in a relevant field with strong skills in project management and report writing
  • Strong communicator able to translate complex data into actionable insights and build meaningful partnerships
  • Adaptable and proactive with willingness and flexibility to travel internationally, including in challenging environments

The starting salary package for this position is £34,860 GBP / approx. $47,000 USD. The position is remote (from home) with travel requirements.
