What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive foundation fundraising strategy to diversify funding base and increase institutional giving
  • Conduct prospect research to identify 30-50 potential foundation funders aligned with H-CAP's mission
  • Write and submit 3-5 foundation grant proposals during the engagement period
  • Create grant tracking systems and provide staff training on foundation research and grant writing

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in foundation fundraising with mission-driven organizations
  • Proven track record of securing six-figure and seven-figure foundation grants
  • Strong grant writing skills with experience crafting compelling narratives for complex programmatic work
  • Knowledge of healthcare, workforce development, labor, or equity/social justice sectors preferred

Contract engagement with total budget not to exceed $75,000. The consultant will work collaboratively with H-CAP leadership, program staff, and Board of Directors on a project expected to run from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.
