Finance Specialist (Remote-Hybrid)

Core responsibilities:

• Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and conduct financial analysis for the organization
• Oversee and prepare financial reporting while ensuring compliance with regulations
• Manage purchasing including travel arrangements and supply requests for all staff
• Assist with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management

This role supports the financial health of an organization dedicated to promoting health equity for African American communities, helping address deep health disparities caused by social and economic injustices.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Experience in nonprofit financial management and knowledge of tax-exempt regulations
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and QuickBooks Online
• Strong analytical skills with understanding of data privacy standards and financial practices
