Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop resources and execute strategic legislative activities to advance priority animal protection legislation
  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned projects including outreach, research, and writing
  • Provide in-house expertise on legislation including tracking and analysis
  • Coordinate with Communications and other departments to draft, proof, and edit content on legislation

Required qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree with excellent law school performance
  • Admission (anticipated or granted) to practice law in at least one state
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Commitment to the mission of the Animal Legal Defense Fund
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
