What you will drive

  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence and consistent quality of finance, administration, fundraising, communications, marketing, and systems
  • Create annual program plan and budget, responsibly managing and growing resources to meet demand
  • Actively engage and energize board members, committee members, volunteers, partnering organizations, and funders
  • Manage and retain a team of support staff, consultants, and independent contractors

The Executive Director will lead the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires in supporting over 1000 nonprofit organizations in Berkshire County, helping them connect, learn, and grow to address community causes like food insecurity, housing access, and youth development, thereby strengthening the nonprofit sector that provides one in four jobs in the region.

What makes you a great fit

  • At least 3 years of management experience as a seasoned nonprofit leader
  • Strategic, visionary, and innovative leader with experience in long-range planning and scaling performance-based organizations
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational management, nonprofit finances with complex budgets, and fundraising with a track record of increasing revenues
  • Effective networker and relationship builder with excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to serve as the face of the organization
