Mission
What you will drive
As a Strategic Account Executive, you will own a named set of high-value water utilities across the United States. You'll be responsible for building multi-year relationships, creating and executing account strategies, and closing six- and seven-figure deals that materially shift how utilities operate.
- Own and grow a named book of ~60 strategic accounts, developing structured annual and multi-year territory plans and building strong relationships across senior leadership, IT, mid-management, and operator teams
- Drive complex enterprise sales cycles, running qualification, first calls, deep-dive discovery, multithreading, leading RFP responses, and building compelling business cases aligned to modernization, compliance, efficiency, and risk reduction initiatives
- Build a world-class pipeline from day one, working with a dedicated BDR to drive outbound campaigns, leveraging targeted account-based programs from marketing, and maintaining disciplined pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy
- Orchestrate the deal team, working closely with executive sponsors for strategic pursuits, partnering cross-functionally with Product, SE, and Customer Success to shape enterprise solutions, and leading internal strategy calls for win planning and competitive positioning
Impact
The difference you'll make
This role transforms how water utilities operate by closing deals that shift their operations toward modernization, compliance, efficiency, and risk reduction, contributing to better water management and infrastructure.
Profile
What makes you a great fit
- 5+ years selling six-figure SaaS deals, experience carrying a $1M+ quota, demonstrated success in long, complex enterprise cycles, and public sector or regulated industry experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional at multithreading across senior leadership, strong executive presence — credible at GM/AGM level, and skilled at navigating political environments and group decision-making
- Comfortable in fast-paced, growth-stage environments, self-directed, resourceful, resilient, thrives without perfect information, and strong written communicator (RFPs, proposals, business cases)
- Accountable owner who runs territory like a business, overprepares, follows through, raises the bar, builds pipeline (not inherits it), and is not intimidated by competition or complex procurement cycles
