Mission

What you will drive

  • Lead, oversee and manage engineering studies for electric distribution systems including Generation Interconnection Studies, Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Integration, Load and Generation Forecasting, Reliability Studies, Distribution Automation Studies, and Volt-Var Optimization.
  • Develop and execute standardizing distribution planning practices, support utility smart grid projects, and assist with integrated distribution planning and DER programs.
  • Lead innovation and R&D efforts for utilities, provide technical advisory services, and manage client relationships ranging from electric cooperatives to public utility commissions.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow an engineering team of 4-5 engineers, prepare responses to RFPs, and support business growth through vendor partnerships and staff hiring.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • 5+ years of experience as a power system engineer or manager.
  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis (Master of Science or higher preferred).
  • Strong communication, technical, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Distribution modeling software experience (preferably CYME or Synergi Electric), understanding of IEEE standards (especially IEEE 1547), and rudimentary computer programming skills (Python, C++, Java, etc.).
