Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Engage with low-income Californians using a broadcast texting platform to promote tax credits and public benefits like CalEITC, federal EITC, and free filing events
  • Respond to messages in English and Spanish using pre-written and original scripts, ensuring timely communication and providing the best possible resources and support
  • Provide feedback to leadership about opportunities to improve scripts and text-based conversations based on community interactions
  • Meet assigned texting goals and participate in professional development activities including bi-weekly discussions and resume/portfolio building

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking in both English and Spanish
  • Strong interest in anti-poverty work and commitment to helping low-income people access financial resources
  • Strong time management skills with ability to work in a dynamic, flexible environment in a planned, organized and strategic manner
  • Exceptional attention to detail and aptitude for information accuracy and integrity
  • Strong proficiency with PC/Mac operating systems, G Suite, Google Workplace, and Microsoft Office 360 applications
  • Reliable wifi connection and ability to work holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed
