Director, Strategy

Core responsibilities for the Director, Strategy role:

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to ensure the organization continues to deliver new and better solutions
• Lead efforts to help people survive, recover and rebuild their lives in humanitarian crisis situations
• Work on real, nuanced and complex issues facing the world today through evidence and data-led strategies
• Foster innovation, scale operations, and test new solutions to ensure best possible outcomes for communities served

This role creates positive change by leading strategic initiatives that help the IRC respond to the world's worst humanitarian crises, ensuring the organization delivers effective solutions that help people survive, recover and rebuild their lives in over 40 countries worldwide.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Experience in strategic leadership roles within humanitarian or international development contexts
• Ability to work effectively in a global team spanning multiple countries and nationalities
• Strong commitment to the organization's values of integrity, service, accountability, and equality
• Experience with evidence-based approaches and data-led strategies in complex humanitarian environments
