Director of Philanthropic Advising

Core responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Donor Advising team, including coaching Regional Philanthropic Directors and building a collaborative team culture
• Design and drive MVP's donor advising strategy, setting standards for prospecting, forecasting, stewardship, and team coordination
• Oversee revenue forecasting and data insights, turning numbers into strategy and identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities
• Manage a portfolio of 15-20 top donors and prospects, building authentic long-term relationships and creating tailored cultivation plans

This role creates positive change by leading major donor fundraising that channels resources to impactful local organizing and movement-building groups, helping shift culture, win power, and shape policy across the country.

Required qualifications:

• Deep mission alignment with social movements and electoral politics, and a genuine love for donors
• A track record of success in major gifts leadership and enthusiastic, skilled people management
• Fluency with and affinity for data, and experience designing and managing systems that enable teams to do their best work
• Preferred: Multi-entity fundraising experience across 501(c)3, 501(c)4 and PAC giving, strong communication skills, and fluency with Salesforce

Salary Range: $160,000-180,000 (based on experience), plus a generous benefits package. MVP is actively seeking to build a diverse and inclusive team with a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
