Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead the Alliance's work to advance federal policy that protects, conserves, and restores the Great Lakes
  • Analyze and track pending legislation, executive orders, and regulations related to federal priorities
  • Cultivate bipartisan relationships with Members of Congress, their staff, and federal agency leaders
  • Train, organize, and create opportunities for Alliance supporters to participate in federal advocacy

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree and 5 years' related experience
  • Strong relationships with Great Lakes House and Senate offices and relevant committee staff
  • Understanding of how pollution and environmental injustice disproportionately impacts marginalized communities
  • Experience navigating and advocating with key agencies including EPA, Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA, and OMB

  • Salary range begins at $105,000 (negotiable based on experience)
