Development Director

Core responsibilities:

• Lead development and fundraising strategies to support youth employment solutions in Africa
• Build and maintain relationships with major foundations, philanthropists, and donors
• Secure funding to scale systems change work and impact millions of youth annually
• Manage a portfolio of top foundation partners including Imaginable Futures, CIFF, Echidna Giving, and others

This role creates positive change by securing resources to expand Educate!'s youth employment programs, which prepare African youth to learn, earn and thrive in today's economy, with a focus on marginalized rural girls and young women.

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or philanthropy
• Strong track record of securing major gifts from foundations and individual donors
• Experience working with international development organizations or education-focused nonprofits
• Knowledge of African development context and youth employment challenges
